Privacy & Cookies
The short version
FutToday shows football fixtures. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no login. We do not ask you for your name, email address or any other personal detail, and we do not sell data.
What stays on your device
Your timezone, clock format, theme and league selections are saved in your
browser's localStorage. That data never leaves your device and
is not sent to us. Clearing your browser storage resets it.
Your timezone is read from your browser settings to show kick-off times in your local time and to pick a sensible default league. We do not use GPS or request location permission.
Hosting
The site is served by Google Firebase Hosting, which processes standard server request logs (including IP address) for delivery, security and abuse prevention. See the Firebase privacy documentation.
Fixture data
Match data comes from API-Football. The fixture board itself is fetched in
advance and served as static files, so browsing it contacts nobody but us
and whichever of the providers below you have consented to.
Team and competition badges are loaded from media.api-sports.io,
which means that provider receives the standard request information any
image host does.
Opening a match opens a detail card built by API-Sports. Two things follow, and only when you open one — never from browsing the board:

widgets.api-sports.io, so that provider receives the standard request information any script host does, including your IP address. - The match data behind the card is requested through this site rather than from the provider, so they do not see which match you looked at. The card sets no cookies, and its optional favourites feature is switched off.
Advertising, analytics and cookies
This site is funded by advertising, served by Google AdSense. Ad providers may set cookies or similar identifiers to select and measure ads.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, but only if you accept the analytics category below. Decline it and no Google Analytics script is loaded at all — not loaded and held back, simply never requested.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, consent is collected by Google's certified consent management platform, which uses the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) v2.2. Where you are covered by it, the message you see is Google's rather than ours, and the choices you make in it — including which advertising vendors you allow — are what govern the ads you are shown. That message lists those vendors and lets you set them individually. Ads there may be personalised if you consent to it; they are not if you do not.
Two consequences worth stating plainly. That framework records your choice as a consent string which is shared with the advertising vendors you allow, rather than staying on your device as the rest of our settings do. And it stores that string, and an identifier for the message itself, in your browser once the message has been shown — including if you refuse. You can change or withdraw the choice at any time from the same Cookie settings button, which reopens Google's message for you.
Everywhere else, consent is handled entirely by this site, nothing is shared with a third party in order to record it, and the paragraphs below describe it.

Google Analytics 4, which counts visits and records which competitions
and matches get opened, roughly where visitors are, how quickly pages
load and whether any script fails. Google acts as our processor for
this. It sets the _ga and _ga_<id>
cookies, which last about two years; we keep the reports for 14 months.
It is not used for advertising personalisation, and Google Signals is
switched off. Fixtures, scores and every filter work exactly the same
if you decline.

These three categories are the ones this site's own banner offers, where it is the banner you see. No category is switched on for you in advance. Where consent is required by law — the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — nothing in the non-necessary categories loads at all until you choose, and there the choice is normally made in Google's message described above rather than in ours. Elsewhere the banner is notice rather than a gate: advertising and analytics may load until you decline, and stop as soon as you do. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the button, which is also in the site footer — withdrawing is exactly as easy as giving consent. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as declining both advertising and analytics, and do not ask.
Your choice is stored with the date you made it and the version of this policy it was made against. If the policy or the list of providers changes materially, that record stops counting and you are asked again.

Your choices
- Decline non-essential cookies, and no advertising or analytics identifiers are set by us. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message stores its own record of that refusal — see above.
- Change your consent at any time from the footer.
- Clear site data in your browser to remove every preference we store.
Children
FutToday is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
